What are your opinions on tires for the 4.2, other than Contis?

The wear bars are showing on my Pirelli P6000's after 16,500mi. Are there any alternatives to the S0-3 that are worth considering? No snow, moderate to aggressive driving. Thanks for your thoughts...

The new Pirelli P-Zero Rossos are supposed to be nice, and there's always the Michelin Pilot Sports. I assume that you're looking at Summer, max performance tires, as that's what's the S03s are.

I wanted quiet and "cushy" ride above all and the AVdbs really delivered. The Dunlop Sport A2 looks like a better and cheaper tire. I sure don't need the speed rating on the AVdb.

well just looked at the Tirerack comapring the Rosso and S03 and i there are some things I completely disagree with.
First the Rosso rides much better than the S03 on the street. Its slight quieter too. The Rosso was a fine tire. Its lighter than the S03. The S03 has a tad more better grip in the dry, not much more and is a little better in the wet. Either tire will do just fine and is more tire than any of us need for the street.
The T1S is a lite tire, good grip, I dont know if its any less costly nowadays, dont know but they used to be a bargian but since they got popular, they went up in price. They do get noiser as they wear like the old S02 PP's. Since I havent owned a set basing this on riding in cars with them and from others experiences.
For me its a toss up between the rossos and S03's with the T1s right there. The only thing that would stop me getting the T1s is the increase noise with wear. if they are less costly that might be the ticket.
On my A6 I have owned S02's(street and track), Rosso's(street and track) and S03's (Street only, v700's are for track now : ))
You can also see about the SP9000,s , a friend says they are nice, not the performance of the others but a solid dry/wet tire and a little less costly.
