challenge me to a speed contest. Maybe they all think they are in an F16 or something!

One guy floored it and braked hard to get ahead of me, just to go the speed limit down my (our?) road, only to take off as I signal/slow for my driveway. The other...I accelerated from an on ramp so as to not make him change speed/lanes. He gets on my butt, swerves HARD into the other lane, and swerves at the side of my car as he flies by. Neither one was warranted or instigated. :/

I smoked a new one about a year ago, couple was on a test drive with the salesman in the car. the salesman hinted they could take me, last thing I saw, they were making a u-turn back to the dealer after I embarraesed them.

ranges share the same comon platform. Many components are from teh same parts bins just like in the old days of Porsche 924's and 944's sharing loads of VW bits and pieces.

It's one of two things setting in here... either my age (midlife crisis?) or the fact that the nice weather has broken and I just want a convertible.

Don't forget, they invented heated seats. And ignition keys in odd places. And ... well, uh, there must be other stuff that escapes me.

is really a Trailblazer. Can anyone remember the bad old days of the 70's and 80's when the only difference between a Chevy, Pontiac, Olds, and Buick is the front and rear? It's going to be like that all over again.

on my 1984 900. Bought new just before I left Germany in 84. They claimed it took less than one hour to swap the clutch. The engine was mounted backwards and the bell-housing came up from the trans-axle and just required removal of a shield and a few bolts to "hinge" out of the way for the swap. The pump was on the driver's side, right up top and super easy to change. The car was built like a tank. I only sold it at 90k trouble free miles (except for the pump) to get a 4wd Bronco II to handle the harsh lake Michigan winters.
