What's up with the door moulding recall??(and other ramblings).....
Stopped by Classic Motors yesterday to make appointment for 40k service and 2001 recalls.
I must've been ahead of the curve - TWICE. Two weeks after getting the car I had my first (and Last) bumper tug incident(remember my DANGER!! DANGER!! DANGER!! post around xmas 2000?) Six months later I was back for replacement of both door mouldings on the passenger side. It was one of the strangest things I'd ever seen. The front moulding "pearled" into the front quarter panel and folded over itself 3 or 4 times in one inch strips.
The recall letter says nothing about this, nor have I read anything about this problem here.
The good news it's reimburseable from Audi.
