wheel size questions.
where is the offset measured from? inside or outside of wheel.
i have an s6 what offset would i need if i had
18x8
18x8.5
19x8
19x8.5
19x9
19x9.5
what is the widest wheel that would fit. the car is lowered slightly, but is adjustable.
thanks for any insight.

Based on RS6
You can fit 19x9 et29 all around. Best size and offset that fits without rubbing.
You can fit 19x9.5 in the rear, also et29, but the tire will look a bit more stretched. I fit one of these in the RS6 with 295 wide tires.
Front I would not go wider than 9.
18x8.5 and 19x8.5 you can get the same et29, but et24 is the best in my opinion, as it gets the wheel's outter edge closer to the edge of the fender.
I have no experience with 8" wide. However, I would recommend something around et20 to et24.
Please keep in mind that if you have any big brake kits in the car, you also have to inquire if the wheel clears big brakes. The offset is only part of the issue, especially the front wheel, and you decide to go with wheels that have lip. Wheels with lip tend to have flat spoke design, and can be quite an issue to find the right front wheel.
Good luck. Your fenders are the same as the RS6, so values stated should work for you.
