Default Grind the wheels? Uh, NONE! Try spacers or the proper offsets.

I hate to think what would happen to the balance of the wheel, once you started grinding them. Not to mention the structural integrity. Not recommended.

Default How about grinding the calipers down?

I am not sure the reason for the large part of the caliper tha sticks out so much.

Which wheel are you trying to mount?

Ditto on grinding the calipers before grinding the wheel spokes.

Default With the importance of unsprung weight savings....

do you think the engineer put a bunch of extra metal on the calipers because they were too lazy to actually design them?

Please don't grind off parts of your brakes. This is a pretty important part of your car.

Default Sound advice. I always wondered why someone would force a wheel to fit a car...

why not just get the right wheel. No spacers, no grinding, just plain and simple mount to the car.

Default There you go injecting logic and sound advice into an automotive forum. ;-P

Everyone knows that the only really important thing is to get some hot wheels, all that other stuff is just engineering BS. (Excellent points there, BD and NSX!)

Default It can be done, just be very careful and don't take too much. However,

are the wheels you are trying to run THAT important?
