Default No, but that is why I looked so hard for a 2002...

...I HAD to have those tip buttons, which were removed from the 4.2 in 2003.

Default So, if I recoded to 00032, would my D become my S or no? I want to be able to go into tip mode...

with the buttons from D or S, but I don't wanna forfeit my D mode. I like having a D for normal/calm driving and S/tiptronic for 'spirited' driving

Default Like I said, there is a difference between D and S even after you code to 00032...

I notice that D still seems pretty normal, and S still holds gears a bit longer for upshifts, and rarely goes into hi gear (5th) unless I am on the highway. The holding to red-line thing is really in tip mode only.

If you have a VAG COM, experiment, and you can always revert back to what you originally had as a tip code.

I second BD on this with my '02 S6. Exact result, but I would need to confirm the code I used.

Default I never did the 00032, thought it didn't do anything on a car that already had sport mode ('02 S6).

Wheel buttons working in D and S would be a huge plus. Looking for any tip help since GIAC won't do a tip chip for our cars.

Default I'll check again, but mine was 01002 and I had to use 00022 to get tip toggle action

but the D, S and T modes remained fully as they were in that setting. 00032 did nothing for my toggles in the 02 S6. YMMV!

future search benefit: S6 tip toggle mod, tip toggles active in all modes coding
