I'm not an expert but I've put 70K miles on my C5 quattro and the front has always "studdered" when I peg the steering either way while moving. I'm interested in what others have to say about this.

of course. Its full time AWD. Do you understand how quattro works?

I'm not trying to be rude. But if you understand torque apportionment, you would not be surprised.

You are exceeding the ability of the driveline to allow all 4 wheels to tun at the (radically different) speeds you are asking them to. So one, or more, skips.

Yup. That's just how it is. No need for concern.

Drive on some polished concrete, like a parking garage, you'll hear the tires slipping.

also keep in mind that whenever you turn the front wheels to the limit you are placing strain on the CV boots. More still if the suspension is moving up and down (unlikely in a parking lot)

many do. Do you understand the difference between quatrro, and, say, a haldex or multi-clutch system?

Those systems, which are most common, are rally NOT, repeat NOT AWD. They detect slip and then close a clutch to transfer power to the wheels that slip. Which means that until one slips, they are front wheel drive.

Audi has full-time engagement of differential gears. You power is always being split, whcih is a superior system.

read up on quattr, and in particular, torsen differentials ( product of the gleason works)
