When will Audi redesign the A6?

Audi is slow to change models:
A8 9-10 years depending on when the new one comes
A4 6 years extending into 7 with the S version.
True the A6 could be a 6 year run, but I think they'll try to squeeze another year out of it given its '02 face-lift. I could, of course, be wrong...but Audi doesn't move fast. No one knows for sure, though, although I bet the Audi brass knows. I think, if the RS6 is introduced as an '03 model in Europe based on the current A6, I would expect at least a couple years out of it before switching to an all new aluminum frame...plus, the all-aluminum thing will probably delay things anyway.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/22227/allroad1.jpg"></center><p>My UNRELIABLE sources tell me the entire A6 line is due for "replacement" come model year 2K5...
Which actually means we could start seeing hints of it as early as 2K4 - really only 2 years away.
This "replacement" (as they are referring to it in Europe) will also include a new allroad....
I think Finman is right on when he mentions the time frame Audi operates on - and since they updated the A6 for 2K2 it is not likely we will see anything (new) before model year 2K5...
Case in point BMW 5 series: Those that have paid attention will notice in model year 2K1 BMW updated the 5 series with new headlamps, tail lights, new engine range, colors, a few interior mods, etc. This is because there is a new 5 for model year 2K4. BMW (as I suspect Audi has done) gave it's 5 a "facelift" to carry it through the final years of it's production while they ready for the replacement....

I hate having a car that looks like an old style. My A4 is fine right now, but after maybe 1-2 years I would really want something. I guess we don't really know when it will come.

especially with the new aluminum chassis...there will probably be more kinks to work out than planned...the freaking S4 took at least a year or two longer to get here than originally promised ![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
allroadguy, you should check your medication level...agreeing with me has got to be a sign of some illness
