wanted to report back with my findings. crank lock plug is not a posi-drive. It is a 6mm hex. Once I removed the 2 hex bolts on the aux water pump and was able to get my hex on the plug more squarely it was a better fit. I used a long (4") 6mm hex and another long extension (8") to be able to get to the plug.
So, guys, which plug is the location for the crank locking tool? There seem to be zero pics of that location on the internet. Here's what the most likely locations look like on my car. Is it the black plug thing?
I'm trying to align the camshafts and the crank without damaging the valves I need he

Heres a not great photo, but the plug has a dot of pink nail polish on it.
You have to remove 2 little capscrews & shift a small waterpump out of the way to get to it, one of the waterpumps hoses is connected to the oil cooler. You just lever it out of the way & jam it in place, you might see my small crowbar there.
There's a socket extension bar in the plug to undo it. You either need a swivel, or 2 or 3 bars so it bends a bit, depending on the length & such. It's not that hard really.
