Slightly OT, but I'm just curious -- is there some central source from which all the various web-based parts sellers (RockAuto, AutohausAZ, Pelican, BuyBrakes, etc.) get their parts? It seems like when I get something delivered, the parts box invariably has the same narrow white sticker on it with details about the part name and stock number, etc. Is there some giant German car parts warehouse someplace?

i cant speak for all of them buy pelican operates their own warehouse. maybe nto for all parts - drop shipping is common in many industries.

Oh I'm quite sure there's a ton of drop shipping going on in the auto parts industry, it's just that I'm curious about where the parts are ultimately living before they get sent to consumers. My sense is that there are probably a couple major warehouses that most of the websites pull from.
