Where do you apply dielectric grease on Ignition Coil? Is it necessary?

Where do you apply dielectric grease on the Ignition Coil? Is it necessary?
Are there any other areas I need to add the grease to in the Coil / Spark Plug Ignition System? Please let me know, thank you.

Not really necessary, but on the spark plug tip and insulator.

You mean the head of the spark plug, right? (Where the coil inserts into)

yes. Keeps the plug from sticking to the coil insulator without any electrical issues. Last time I used it was on plugs and distributor cap connections on 95 Tahoe.
