Default Where to purchase diverter valves?

I was going to get them on ebay, but I am getting the run around on my purchase. The guy wont take bidpay like he said he would and I dont want to give paypal my bank account info. So unless the guy will take my amex from paypal through a non-verified paypal account then I dont think I will get them from ebay. For 2 valves it comes to 189 dollars which is a great deal in my mind. Most of the valves I see online look exactly like these so my guess is that its the same quality valves every other shop is selling. Are there differences in the valves that I cant see? They all seem to have the same bore width, polished aluminum, adjustable and with spring kits.

Why should I pay 150 bucks for the same valve thats on ebay for 78? At any rate can someone point me to another site for a 80 dollar valve if my ebay dealer wont sell me his valves?

are those adjustable? Am I better off going with with the ones below or the ones you pointed out?

I was thinking that the ones you pointed out cant be cleaned and I would probably have to replace them down the road. Plus I cant change the springs on the 710's can I?<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-GOLF-JETTA-AUDI-A4-TT-1-8T-DIVERTER-VALVE-FORGE-4-BK_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQitemZ80759429 40QQrdZ1">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-GOLF-JETTA-AUDI-A4-TT-1-8T-DIVERTER-VALVE-FORGE-4-BK_W0

Default Careful wording in auction "Forge Style"

May not mean "Forged", if that's worth anything.
I learned that lesson on "3 piece forged style" wheels.
What's this one made out of? It might be the hot deal that it looks like.

Default you don't the the adjustable unless you are going to stage II or more..

I've had the Forge and played with the springs and blew the turbos. (can't say if this was related or a coincidence) I then spoke to Forge and was told keep to the middle spring..this is the stock like spring.

Using the 710N valves is fine..they are stronger than the stock and cheap.

Default Like Paul said, unless your Stg 2 or more you don't need anything more thatn 710Ns...

And why on earth would you need to clean DVs?

They're cheap enough to just replace every 50k or so.

Default 710N from a good VW dealer for $34 each. That's all you need unless

you have a lot of boost.

Default Re: Like Paul said, unless your Stg 2 or more you don't need anything more thatn 710Ns...

Hmm...I was told to lube them up every 10k or so. I was thinking that if they need to be cleaned and lubed every 10k then it would make sense to get the ones that break apart easily.

I do not plan to use any spring other then the stock green one for now. I wanted to get the adustable one's as a sort of investment. The car already has 35k miles so I figured they need to be changed anyway. I also intend on chipping the ECU, getting a Y pipe, exhaust and a few other nic nacks. According to the info I have, after those upgrades I will need a slightly stiffer spring. Since I already wanted a new valve I was thinking that the best way to go was one where I could easily change the spring would save me a few bucks down the road. Maybe its over kill, but the price wasnt too much more then the 710's so no biggie either way.
