I said a chipped Tip - read chip only no other mods will run 14.0@100mph 1/4 mile. Timeslips and different days ran at a drag strip( and I should note that driver had 29lb wheels on the car). Fact. The gtech was running I believe that day and was recording 5.45 and 5.51 0-60mph.
A chip only 6 speed ran 13.6 at that same track. Fact. Timeslips and all.
A stock S6 will not do this. A chip only S6 might be able to be close to the chip only Tip 2.7T in the 1/4 but wont be close to a chip only 6 speed. The S6 should be really moving at the end, and eventually should pull.
That was what the comparison was concerning. Not if any other mods were done. Chip only.
I do not know what a 6 speed chip only A6 ran 0-60mph but it was awfully quick to run 13.6 1/4!!!
splits for the 6 speed were
60' 1.926
330' 5.631
1/8 8.746
1/4 13.641
You know what now that i think about it, yes the 6 speed ran at least a 5.1 0-60 and was probably quicker than that!!

peaky torque curve in comparison to chipped 2.7T w/out exhaust and other stuff(Final drive S6 2.727:1 vs. 2.7T 3.511:1). That is a relatively plateau shaped curved that only an electronically wastegated turbo motor can provide. Scientifically speaking, with all weights being approximately equal, It appears an impossibility that the S6 stock is even a contender. You would need a blower or NOS to equalize the torque deficit making you "Fast and Furious". The suspension assets of the S6 over an A6 is easily addressed in the aftermarket for chump change.

make it dead even with a stage one chipped 2.7T. The gear ratio difference still give the edge to the 2.7T from 0-60. On the Autobahn that puppy must really crank in the triple digits. I'm truly amazed at the Cosworth 4.2 hidden power potential. Thanks for the data. Please post more when the car's max potential is exploited and you do another dyno. It may convince me on an '03 S4. Thanks again.
