Yes, very true but some people here seem to have very personal relationships.....
with their cars.
They seem to defend them with passion, as if someone had cast an insult about their parentage.

Well, a car is an object, not a person,
although cars certainly do have personalities and are as much a question of style as utility. I agree that you really have to get to know a car before you can decide whether or not you like driving it, but you can decide if you are happy getting into it with one look.
