why does my steering wheel move in and out on starting and turning off the car?

Mine works half way so it I disabled it >>>

When enabled upon shutting off the car the steering wheel will move backwards, but when I start the car it does not go back, and I have to hold the memory button... VAG-COM didn't find any errors.

It's part of the memory seat/wheel function. I got sick of it an pushed the

button in to deactivate it, since I'm hardly "portly" enough to need it.
