Will 255/40/18 on 8.5 ET32 wheels fit on the 4.2?

I am a little concerned by how the tire will rub the suspension/control arm upright. Anyone try this size on a 4.2?

the 40 series will have a half inch more radius and hence come very close to the upper curved portion of the control arm. There's a little nub that sticks out of the suspension (arrow points to it in the pic). The pic shows the stock 255/40/17 5 spoke (17x8 ET35). That extra 1/2" up higher from the stock tire looks mighty tight! If you ran the 255/40/18 on the same size wheel, i'm good to go. otherwise, i will either resort to a 5mm spacer or go with 255/35s. Bummer. I spent this whole morning getting all excited to get some wheels on and ran into this issue.

the new wheel would be 3mm CLOSER to the suspension upright given the 1/2" increase in width. the change in offset really doesn't help other than push the wheel 9mm further out on the outside of the wheel.

also a 4.2.....
255/30/19s.. I kept the rolling diameter the same. 19 x 8.5" RSGTs with an ET32 and 255/30/19 Pirelli Pzero Neros.
No rubbing...
