Will 321mmx30mm rotors from an S4 with HP2 calipers work for a S6 Avant with same HP2 calipers,

I have checked different sites Brembo, Stoptech, etc..), and there are different parts numbers listed for their BBK kits, but the rotors are both 321x30. Anyone know if they would work?
Thanks in advance.

I think S4's in general have the shallower offset (like most but I guess not all 2.7T's). Same pads, same size rotors, but different offsets to the rotor hat (and presumably to the caliper mounting related hardware) so they couldn't interchange.

is that all that was needed? I'm wondering if it's possible to retro-fit s4 bbk onto our cars. Interesting, didn't realize it was that easy

Why would you change from one to the other if the offset is different? Unless it is a takeoff from someone else's car?
ECS has 16.7mm offset 2 piece rotors for $634
and Tirerack has DBA5000 for $660
both are 321x30 rotors. Same swept area, just lighter with aluminum hats. Improvement in unsprung weight, but nulified by heavier 18"rims/tires already.
For $1200 more ($600 corner for calipers, pads, brackets, lines) you can have 322x32mm Porsche rotors and aluminum hats. The best brake combination for the price although I buy RS2brackets for the urs cars, and use 323x30 rotors from Euro S8 and 993TT calipers (from NewOrleans Porsche).
Has anyone figures out if RS2 brackets will work for our S6 cars?

am completely confused. Yes I got them from someone else's car, and incredible deal for all four drilled rotots and new pads. That is why I am trying to see if they work. I could save them for my S4, but just got a new BBK for it.

that is what I thought, so how is it possible to use s4 rotors and calipers, wouldn't you have to change more then just that? Maybe I'm having a total brain fart and just don't get it

he is 99% sure that the B5 S4 rotors with the HP2 calipers will fit a C5 S6 with the same calipers. The two offsets are 22.7 and 16.7, some A6's and 2.7 Audi's have differnt offsets that do not make it work. I will let everyone know if they work out, since they are in the mail and on the way.
