Default Will OEM Avus 18" wheels fit A6 4.2?

If its Avus from a S6, I bet it will fit. What about 18" Avus from S4?

Default 18" avus wheels only came on the S8, correct?

The S4 has 17x7.5 et 35 wheels. Don't know for sure if they will work.

The S6 has 17x8 et 35 wheels I believe. Will work.

The S8 has 18x8 et 48 wheels. You'd have to test fit to see if they will clear the brakes, plus they will sit in about 1/2" further than stock wheels, so they will look slightly silly without spacers. Spacers/bolts will run you about $240.

Default Pretty close...

The B5 S4 Avus and B6 sport wheels (both versions) are 17x7.5, ET45.

The B6 S4 Avus is 18x8, ET45.

The S6 Avus is 17x8, ET35.

The S8 Avus is 18x8, ET48.

The "correct" tire width for the narrow body A6's (given speedo, clearance, etc.) is 235. IMHO, this width needs an offset somewhere between 35 and 43. Acutally, I think 38-40 is really preferable for an upper limit, but the OEM 17" wheels are all 43 -- looks tight to me.

So, despite other users' good experiences with the ET45s and 235 tires (and there are some opposing experiences also), I'd say that you would definitely need spacers with the S8 version, and possibly with the B5 and B6 versions. Fine with the S6s.
