mechanical damage will nto occur is the rolling circumferences are the same. Do the math.
Handling (location of moment of inertia) dictates the need for more grip in the front - ergo bigger wheels. Most companies settle for same size.
big rears and small fronts is a recipe for crappy handling - excessive understeer. Pig-like.

However, is the setup I want going to affect the car? It will be a 19x8.5 Front with 235/35/19 and a 19x10 in the Rear with a 265/30/19, here is a pic
