Default windshield washer tank was empty, annoying warning, how do you turn it off? I couldn't so

i stopped by a gas station on the way home, bought a 2.5 gallon jug of washer fluid and my tank took the entire jug..damn and of course the warning disappeared...i guess you need that much so that the headlight washers have juice as well...but in any case, when you have warnings like that, it just glares you in the face, is there no way to reset it or make it go away..after 1 or 2 warnings i get the picture...

Default If anyone knows how to make that warning go away, I wanna know too!

I was stuck miles from a gas station and it was right on the edge of giving the warning. Every uphill it went away, downhill it came back. All I could think to do was run the washers 'til they were empty, at least, after one last warning, the beep shut up until I got to a gas station.

the best way to make it go away is to add fluid, but you knew that..

Default On VW's you can recode the instrument cluster to ignore the sensor...

but then you get no warning at all. I've noticed that my headlight washers don't come on when it starts to go low, so that would be warning enough for me. If someone has their Bentley CD handy they can check if the feature can be disabled. Otherwise, I'll check when I get home tonight.

Default Try hitting the trip computer reset button. I can't recall for sure, but...

I think it did the trick for me once. I could be mistaken, so no flames from the know-it-alls please.
