I have this wining noise coming from the engine at start up and while driving. I think it might be the secondary air injection pump because I get the

• P0491: Secondary Air Injection System Insufficient Flow (Bank 1)
• P0492: Secondary Air Injection System Insufficient Flow (Bank 2)

error codes. Is there a way I can shut off this annoying noise until I can replace the pump? Like maybe remove a fuse...? Or is that not a good idea? Thanks in advance.

If you locate the air pump that is making the noise, you can disconnect it at the electrical connector. It's a 2 prong plug, and, IIRC, points straight down. That will stop the dentist drill sound,
