Winter Tires on 17" audi A6 rims...

Im looking to put some winter tires on my car, and was wondering if i have any options other than a 255/45/17 tire. is there any possibility that i can so with a more narow tire on this rim??

a search under winter tires yielded 2285 posts....give it a try

235/45/17 is your best bet if you want to go narrower. Works for me.

believe it or not....i'm running 255/40/17's dm3's now....8^)

I believe it, I use the same tire in the narrower size. I'm not sure that the differences...

in winter performance can be measured with such a small difference, but I always go narrower in winter out of habit.
