I have an issue where my fuel pump is not getting power. I check the relay and it seems to be working fine. I was wondering if anyone knew if there is anything between the relay and pump and if not can i run a wire straight from my battery to my pump with some sort of toggle switch to shut the power off for now?

I have a feeling you have a bad fuel pump. Remember, the relay will only power the pump while the engine is turning. This means either running, or being spun by the starter. So, put your meter on the pump, and turn the key to start. You should see power at the fuel pump. If so, the pump is bad. If not, double check the relay.

2nd. Bad fuel pump if it won't continue running with power to it. The excess fuel is simply recirculated. You could also check the amperage draw of the pump for grins when it works. If the amperage draw goes up and up and the pump stops....bad pump.

I would check/replace the fuel filter also if the pump is gone. A clogged filter may be the responsible for a pump failure due to excessive effort to put fuel through it.
