Default IMHO, it's a double edged sword.

Could be a little difficult to re-sell, but on the other hand, someone might pay a SLIGHT premium for it. Bottom line - buy what you like.

Yes, don't buy to please someone else - it is your car, enjoy!

Default I think color is only a big deal to the first buyer

because they had a choice and they purposely chose it.

In the used car market, it's about price, options and condition, iddn't? Would you really make a buy/no-buy used car decision based on color, unless it was a really outrageous color like Fly Yellow?

Forget espresso, Cashmere Grey rules! Alpaca close but no cigar, it's CG all the way.

Default Correct. You're getting the car to please yourself - unless this is a short term ownership.

The trick is to even find one! I would be more concerned about condition first. Make brown your first choice, but have a few other back-up choices in case you can't find the brown, or at least none in good condition.

Default as long as you like it then Yes.

if it makes you happy then I feel that is the most important thing... and if you go to sell it later on you can put !! RARE !! in the ads like a lot of the goofs on Autotrader and hook someone on the rarity of the color alone.

I just got my 2000 2.7T 2 weeks ago and it wasnt until after my wife and I saw the car and put the deposit on it that we found it to be a somewhat rare color interior and exterior. Mine is Jaspis Green Metallic with Lago Green leather... I get a lot of compliments. I guess for every 10 that like the color combo there is 1 that doesnt.
