Do I need to get some of the coolant fluid before changing the engine coolant temperature sensor. I do know it's gonna spill a bit but no clue how much. If so what antifreeze fluid should I use. I guess I'm gonna have stop by the dealership.

You can just top of the lost coolant with some distilled water.
