Default WOW....I had a great experience with my service department today

It has been rain rain rain...all day here in st. louis. My wiper blades were streaking....not bad...but just enough for me to pull into the dealer.

Service advisor looks outside and said yeah I guess you will need them on a day like today. I said I dont want to wait 2 weeks for an appointment...can I just have a set and I will put them on myself......

He said no...give me your keys and you will be out of here in 10 minutes......so right in the middle of lunch, he got my car in and changed the wiper blades....no hassle......10 mins later I was gone.

We slam the service departments all the time for poor experiences... Well PLAZA Motors in st. louis took care of me today and that means alot when it comes to new car time in a few years.

Default I've had mixed experiences with my parts dept.

One time I needed a brake light bulb and was prepared to pay, they asked me what year my car was and then gave it to me for free.

Next time I needed a bulb they charged me! I said whassup and he said to get it for free it would have to be written up by a service advisor. Not worth the wait.

Default I always change all the brake light bulbs at once since they should all fail within a few minutes...

of "burn" time

Default Seems like it sometimes...

But I once did extensive testing on bulb life and there is a very wide range of life within the same lot. I didn't test brake lights buts the ones I tested were for scientific use and had much higher manufacturing tolerences than automotive use.

I don't know, my picktruck headlights always seem to fail within a week of each other.

Default Similar Plaza experience

The service manager quickly changed out my rear brake light bulbs while I waited one day, without an appointment. This was just a few days before my car was rear-ended by a drunk driver. The police on the scene did have me tap my brakes to make sure the brake lights worked. It would have been hard to explain if I was waiting for an appointment to get them fixed !

My bad bulb seems now to be a bad tailight assembly. Add it to the list of problems
