Default WTB A6 4.2 rubber floor mats
Looking to buy winter mats for my 2001 A6 4.2 or, can you give me a site that has exact fit OEM's?

Default Do NOT get WEATHERTECH allweather rubber mats...won't fit, period.
The floorliners look like they might, but I'm stuck with some allweather mats. I loved them on my M3 (fit perfectly) but the rolling floors on the S6 won't let the mats lie flat and they are not contoured. I shouldn't have cut the passenger one and tried to get it to lie flat on the S6.

Default Get them from the dealer. Same price as Weathertech when I got a set for a B6 2 years ago
It says that they fit the 2.8, 3.0 and 2.7t, but doesn mention the 4.2. Have you tried Clair Parts? Got them for my 2.7T from there.

They probably gave you mats for a 2.7. The mats for a 4.2 are a different size.

The shape/size. 4.2's and S6's have a wider trans tunnel to accomodate the HP24.

I have an awfully nice set of Stratmosphere carpeted mats specially made for 4.2..let em go cheap!!
