Default Re: Which little compartment??

I have a 99.5 A62.8 which at first had the same problem with the smaller driverside compartment not staying closed. Upon discovering the problem two minutes after purchasing the car, I turned around and drove back to the dealer where they promptly replaced the door panel. However, others here have posted that the door will start to stay closed with time. I think the spring mechanism has to be used a few times to get it to work properly. AND it's best to give it a gentle push not a shove.
