Default Yr 2000 Audi A6 4.2 exhaust tips....

hi there..
any ideas on exhaust options to make the rear exhaust tips show out on a Yr. 2000 car?
what is my most cost effective option without having to buy a full cat back system? can i put tips on my existing mufflers?

thanks!

In 2000, the rear bumper valence has no holes, so the exhaust tips are bent downward and don't show. There are some add on tips that folks here on the board have mounted, but it still has the double bend to get under the valence and doesn't go straight out, like a catback or other AM system.

I struggled with this for a full summer...should I cut holes out of the valence, or just upgrade the flow and keep it stealth? What will this cost? Can I get rear ended and then upgrade the rear end? In the end, I left it alone and bought another vintage motorcycle.

I like my '00 4.2 non-sport just the way it came, Bauhaus wheels and all. Its a beautiful automobile. Not a racecar, not even a sports sedan really. Its an Audi with a V8, quattro and a trunk that embarasses a 72 Ford LTD--all designed by **** retentive german rocket scientists. Why change it?

you are probably right...
but if i can find a low cost solution, it'll be a fun project and make the car look more aggressive...thats all...

thanks again..

Default Got the RS6 exhaust from Speedsport Technik in Norwalk, CT...

Talk to Brian at 203-229-0590 and tell him that Mark Foyil sent you. If you're lucky, he might have another used RS6 exhaust system laying around he wants to get rid of.
