I have same car year and motor a6 2005 BNK and I have the misfire issue I've read through your threads about this and I'm going to try out/inspect test issues tomorrow. I think one thing you have not tried is the battery adaptation and or replace the charge controller black box on neg terminal in trunk. These cars need to have a vag com battery adaptation done whenever you change the battery, if you don't bad misfire issues. also I think the charge controller on our cars had a recall.... worth looking into I'll let you know if I sort mine out and I'll let you know what I discover tomorrow. cheers

I'd probably do them all to save future aggravation.

never had, when I had some codes that was all down to valve solenoids and fuel pumps. After that was replaced, not a single CEL or code regarding engine.
G-Can, Do you have VCDS or a reader that can show measuring block values?

If so, what you want to do is get the engine good and hot, shut it down and under advanced measuring values track the pressure off of the HPFP. Over the course of say 10 minutes it should rise to about double its initial value from the heat soak and then begin to decline. Any other pattern is a sign of a leak at the pump(?) or in the upper injector seals.

I hope this helps.

Default replaced oring at top of injector

I recently replaced my intake manifolds and damaged the fuel injector o-rings (brown, installed 6 months ago) and got a bad fuel leak. I removed the Super Charger and replaced only the top o-ring (blue); I have no visual leak but a strong smell of gas plus my fuel level using a obd reader shows the car is losing .01% fuel per the minute. I ordered a 2nd set of o-rings just in case they are damaged. I Think if I run the car then remove everything and use a borescope, I may be able to determine which one is leaking. Debating on just replacing the top o-ring again as the teflon seals are fairly new, Since I was able to see the leaking injectors trickling fuel where it meets the fuel rail the other day when I replaced the Intake Manifold.
1) Is there a difference in the brown and blue o-rings. Blue ones appeared to be approx. 1/64" shorter than the brown. But the brown ones could have just been a little swollen from usage or heat.

The seals are a one time use item, they truly should be replaced whenever an injector is removed.
