Hey everyone...

As the title says, I own an O-5 that comes with Parktronic and thus far the car has been perfect! Over the last week - I think the speaker that produces the Partronic beeps has either blown or is either severely degraded - it basically sounds like a million fly getting swatted at once - a screech born of static and high pitched whines.

my question is this:

is this speaker separate from the main audio system and easily replaced or do I need to figure out which is bad and replace that one? The Car system sounds fine to me and seems to be sound-anomaly-free.

i thought i used to hear the beeps in 'stereo' for lack of a better description -- then one day it sounded different and it's been like that ever since...

We had that happen in a few pre-owned cars.

I near an object that would theoretically make it sound off, it makes no sound at all...

Have you checked the settings in the MMI? Could be the volume is turned down.

Yes, the reverse parking speaker is seperate from the audio speakers. Same happen to me last week, Audi replaced the speaker and all is back to normal. My went out at 24,000 miles for reference.
