Good news, @ 20,000 miles my 3.2 finally feels like it opened up to its full potential. Kind of weird to have to wait that long; my lease ends in another 25,000 miles. I wonder why Audi engineers incorporated that long an extended break in period in the 3.2.

not an incoporated break in at all, just a result of extremely tight tolorances; whereas at the 20-30k mile mark, antiquated american pushrod engines have reached their absolute peak. Among the many reason's I have always bought german, simply splendid engine design and build quality/machining. I have 10k on mine, it just keeps getting smoother and smoother. Glad you are enjoying yours as much as mine.
