Will be getting the A6 fixed soon. Getting hard jerks when shifting every once and a while and i get the fluctuations of rpm when going downhill. Ive heard that mostly everyone with an A6 C6 has had problems with the torque converter. Im gunna bite the bullet and just replace it. First off i would like to know if anyone has experienced this and has gotten the TC replaced and you could tell me if it fixed the issue and if you used an OEM TC. Also does anyone know the damage to the wallet? Car has 78,000 miles on it and the trans code is HLK

Have you tried flushing the transmission first? New fluids and filters can do wonders. Audi says its lifetime fluid, but we all know that is a pipe dream. Many long time owners change theirs every 35-50k miles. Personally I would start there before shelling money out on a new/rebuilt transmission.
Recently pulling my engine and trans, 4.2L and when I drained the transmission coolant lines, I did not like the look of the transmission fluid. So I will be doing a full flush and new filter on mine.
