I think all brake calipers can be taken of with the ratchet, open ended wrench and a hex socket. and maybe a pray bar to get the pads pushed out.
You will need a metric 6pt socket and breaker bar or your favorite impact driver to take the calliper carrier.

you will need torx socket to take a small bolt on the caliper.

and then you might need all sort of tools to get the rotor off. It depends how frozen it is. search youtube for all sorts of ideas how to take frozen rotor off the hub.

This been said, the know how is not in what tools to use but how to do it. If you not sure what tools to use, you might now be sure how to do it and brakes is not the place to learn on own mistakes. i.e. you can kink the brake hoses and then they will burst.

I have a 4.2 and there's no difference on HOW you do the actual job, it's pretty well the same for almost ANY brake job, regardless of manufacturer.

The link I shared was for a 3.2 BTW...how are your brakes different?

Hi Raj! Are you staying out of trouble. I am not. When I suggested to someone to search for the many threads and Ross Wiki on new battery coding, (instead of my repeating it ad nauseam) I was flamed as a ****.

With the exception of EPB and the stupid inside out front brakes on the 200s in the 90's, Audi pad and rotor changes have not changed much.

I just did the rear brakes on my wife's C6.5 Avant. To make sure I had not forgotten anything in my old age, I looked at some Youtube's to refresh my memory. BOY THERE IS A LOT OF BAD ADVICE OUT THERE. Idiots unnecessary taking off the caliper bracket. Idiots hot-wiring the EPB. Idiots failing to mention to check, clean and grease the guide pins.

Be well!
