Default 2006 A6 3.2 Service @ 90,000

I am thinking about purchasing a 2006 A6 3.2 fully loaded with about 90,000 miles on it; is this a good purchase? As far as I know, no major work has been done to it so what work should I have do with 90,000 miles and about how much will it cost? I have driven the car and it seems to be in excellent shape, did not notice any burning oil, steering felt tight, etc. Any insight would be helpful!!

@ 90,000 miles.. ill tell you what to look for.

-Both motor mounts
-Will need tranny fluid and filter
-Brakes
-Check Vacuum pump typically it will start leaking ull need to replace the pump and the valve cover gaskets at the same time.. thats like 700 bucks
-My AC pump started going out too
-Check for the common AC issue for the C6..
-If possible check for carbon build up.
-AC filter

This is just from top of my head of what i have done to mine..

How much ur paying if i may ask?

Good luck..

Overall one of the best audi engines out there..

runs smooth no issues..

Thanks for the advice! They were asking $15,500; it has every option that the 3.2L had available (from my understanding only rims, electronic adjustable steering wheel, and the large engine are the only options that aren't included). I negotiated them down to about $12,500 and they pay for taxes and registration (about $1000 in the state of Connecticut). Is that a win?

I wouldn't buy one of these cars without CPO.

Wishing you much success in your new purchase. I just purchased the same vehicle with the same amount of miles. I had a few issues as soon as I took it home, but the dealer repaired it. I am just getting the car back and ready to experience it. I am coming from a 200 Mercedes Benz E320 with 184,000 miles, which has been awesome! I am hoping for the best with this vehicle as well. I am not real familiar with the brand so this will be fun!!

Yea youll be fine, I disagree strongly with worrying, very reliable engine and car overall, yea it needs some stuff every once in a while, its an audi, not a camry but youll be very pleased, can be fun at higher rpms, enjoy it

I ca,me from an 04 allroad, to an06 A6 Avant with 108,000 miles. I out in about 20K on the car before someone hit me head on and totalled the car. I walked away from the crash, but the Camry that hit me had to have the roof to remove the driver. Purchased another '06 A6 Avant with 92,000 miles. I have to do tranny flush and valve cover gaskets. Other than that it's been reliable.
