Hi I recently purchased a set of four tires for my 07 A6 3.2L Quattro this is what I bought is this good?
Review: Bridgestone Potenza RE970 AS Pole Position
The car manufacturer recommend 35 psi in front and 39 psi in the rear is that how I should run it or any other way because my other tires wore out at 7000 miles and I kept the pressure in check. Thanks for any help

I think my biggest complaint with my 06 3.2 is tire wear. Good alignment and they wear evenly, but fast, no matter what tires I put on. 7000 is bad though, I got low 20s with cooper rs3-a tires, and I think I got 16 with the continentals that came on it.
The gas flap says to do 35/39 on mine, but the manual says the 39 is for a full load in the back and it gives a range of I think 31-39 rear and 33-35 front depending on load. However, I put 35 all around and the edges of those coopers were down more than the insides, so I'm trying 37 all around now.

I run 40PSI all round. a good middle of the road setting for solo or passenger driving.
I am now on 34K and only half worn tyres. (Original - Pirelli P ZERO ROSSO ).
Handbook states 38 front - 42 rear.

^^^These are pressures for the 6 cyl car. V8 cars may be different.
Inflation pressure is not going to cause tires to wear out like that. Is the compound of the tire very soft? Did the tires wear nicely? How is the alignment? How many miles did you get on the previous set of tires? FWIW, we got about 60,000 miles on an OE set of Continentals on our Avant.

Agreed. 7K is way too short of a lifespan. Uneven wear = alignment or pressure.
I have the V10 S6 so my pressures aren't going to matter to you, but I get 25K - 30K on my tires (mostly highway).

2nd. The original OE tires that came on my '06 A6 Avant, Pirelli P6s, lasted 50K miles. I run my tires at ~34 psi front/back per the label on the fuel door for my tire size/loading conditions. 7K miles indicates a problem.

I run 40 psi on all three of my rides with even wear.
If U have even wear but wear out too fast the tires are TOO SOFT. IE low tread wear numbers
The higher the number, the harder the tire = longer wear
Have U had a alignment done ever ???
