New to the forums, just purchase 2007 S6 silver with black interior. I am looking for all season tires for 19" rim, I was told Michelin pilot sport A/S plus in 275/35/19 would work. Does anyone have experience with pro or cons of such tire and size?

I have used thos tires in many cars and I do like them. I currently have them in my S6. I have the 275/40/18 though. I ignore the dimensions on the 19". check on Michelin's website and compare the two tires. Right now I have ~0.5 to 0.75" inches of clearance between the tire and the upper link on the front tires. Other than that there is room in the fenders when you make a full turn to either side.
As far as the tires:
The tires are very linear in cold and hot weather. I live in Houston and travel to Dallas. Reason I say this is that I see ice and just a little bit of snow. Nothing compared to the weather in the north. They grip very well in light snow, yes I have driven in snow before. Denver for a couple of weeks at a time, when I take a break from the office. (some background info in the winter weather).
As far as dry weather. The tires will not overheat easily and will let you know when they are about to let go. They will screech and then go into a growl and roll before they let go. There is plenty of warning before they let go. I drive my tires hard in/out of the track. So far I have gotten 12k miles out of them and still have another 3-4k miles of life. If you drive the tires normally I can see a life of 30-40k miles.
In the wet, the tires do not hydroplane. I have driven in heavy rains here in Houston. Heavy enough that all you see is white in front of you. The tires will handle the water. I noticed they could not keep up with the water ~135 mph. most people would never try this, but I wanted to know where the limits were.
Overall, the tires are very good. Road noise from 1 to 10 I would give it a 4. Stock continentals I would rate at a 5.5-6
Hope this helps.

They are great on dry and rain soaked roads with no hydro planing or slippage. In light snow they are fine and I'd highly recommend them.
