Hmmm...

It turns out that there's a difference between yours and mine car Lungfixer..
My car is a 2005/06 model 2.0 TDI...

The bumper/undercarriage covers are different.

I only needed to remove the three screws on the left..

Yes.. I know..
The former owner had strange parking habits..

Btw... This is my little black gem..

There are different license plate "trims" for the A6, S-line and S6 Grill..

This is how ETKA presents them:

I bought Nr.11 today (4F0 807 285 E 1RR)
(Nr.12 was standard, but the new license plates we have now in Norway, are one cm to big for Nr.12).

There's room for a 52,5 x 12 cm plate in Nr.11..
There's actually no limit "downward" for the plate.. it's "open" at the bottom..
52,5 x 12 cm = 20,5 x 4,73 inch'es..

I guess you use the Nr.13 ?

In Norway (and other countries) we can ask for "custom size plates".. if the car is "special enough"..
It's up to the lokal "DMV" to approve it..
No such luck in Canada?

Correct, Frode...#13 would be the plate adapter for USA models.

Yes, price correct. I purchased it from the Parts Dept of the dealership where I purchased my automobile. My Service Advisor arranged for me to get the grille at dealer cost...simply because he's cooler than the other side of my pillow!!

Does anyone know the different grill configurations and part numbers for the 09+ grills? I'm looking specifically for the one that comes with the "quattro" badge, but I'd like to know what other options I have.

Every country in Europe requires a plate on the front of the car... very North American would be closer to the truth
