Have a 2008 A6 4.2L. 105k miles.
Issue is the low oil light keeps coming on after every couple hundred miles or so. Look around engine, under the car, garage floor, not really seeing any indication of oil leaking. Check dipstick, and what do you know, the oil level is fine. Usually would have to add a quart in between oil changes.
Anyways, this leads me to believe I have an oil sensor that is failing. But I don't have an oil sensor light. Go figure. Can anyone save me some time and let me know where the oil sensor is located so I can start troubleshooting this. From the looks of it a new sensor is pretty cheap, so thought I would change it on my next oil change due in a couple K miles.
Thanks for the help.
