MMI suddenly quit. Pressing the on-off button causes display to come on - system is then in satellite radio mode - volume functions, but mmi fails after about 30 seconds - screen blanks and no buttons illuminated. Sometimes all leds for all selector buttons illuminate for about 2 seconds then go out.
While mmi is on, cannot select anything other than satellite radio - pressing any other mode button does nothing.
If in reverse, then push on button, mmi starts and rear camera view ok, but fails after 30 seconds.
Pulled the rear 40 amp fuse that feeds left rear side of trunk - no change.
Tried the 3 botton simultaneous push reset - no change.
Any ideas appreciated, and thank you!

have you verified that you battery in the car is ok? this sounds similar to behavior when a battery is getting weak.
Also, there have been known issues with Sat radio module...try removing the module in the trunk and see if that fixes things.
