New to the forum and maybe this question is answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.

Any chance Audi will offer a manual transmission in the '09 A6? I drive an A4 3.2Q manual now, need a bigger AWD sedan, and I really don't want a 535xi. But I hate automatic. (Does Audi offer the stick A6 in Europe, maybe?)

the allroad was the last of the manual a6 breed... the new a4 will slowly be converted as well from what i remember reading on the forum. There was a heated post a few weeks/months back regarding this. My a6 is auto but i would prefer it manual... at some point i will go back to a manual transmission, my hopes are that it will be an audi

transmission because they believe us Americans don't want one in the luxury model (low demand), even though BMW seems to think otherwise. But manuals are available for us in the US market up through the A5. When I sent a message to A of A on this subject, they replied that they will still offer a manual in the A3, A4, and TT lines (prior to the intro of the A5).

This is crazy. I'm sure Audi has a business reason for this, but I can't be the only guy who'll reluctabtly buy a 5-series BMW because Audi doesn't offer stick.

Does anyone know if you can get one via European delivery?

Nope, A of A did not get the A6 w/ a manual tranny certified by DOT for US market.
