Also, keep in mind that the 18" comes with all-season tires while the 19" comes with summer-performance tires.

We looked at both the 18" sport package and 19" sport package when ordering our 2010 A6 Avant. I felt and heard a difference between the two. The 19's and requisite summer tires have more road noise and transmit more feedback into the cabin without any discernible improvement in handling... at least on the street.
I thought the 19" option was just too much for a daily driven car that won't ever see the track. Plus I actually prefer the look of the 18" sport wheel.
Your experience might differ... drive both.

I have the 19" sport package and I must say, the setup is a bit "boomy." I can hear every little bump transmitted through the car. It's nothing ridiculous and I usually don't even notice unless I'm focusing on it. In the winter, I have an 18" setup which is much quieter.

I have the 18" on my '10 A6. The wheels look better and much more practical because they come with all season tires. The 19" were too loud without as much improvement in performance for an average driver like me.
