Anybody done any mods to overcome this Sh*t?....
haven't yet looked at my intake valves....but i'm going too...and will not be very happy if i find any unusual deposits in there

....
(always using shell helix-ultra oil and 95 octane fuel..)

There's no rhyme or reason... engine hot or cold, first thing in the morning inside a cool garage or at lunch in a hot parking lot. About the only thing I don't recall is a rainy day occurence.

I'm thinking some kind of electrical gremlin.

I have the same issue as ex_boxster. I had it in for service and told a part was ordered to "fix my hard start issue." I'll have to see what it is when they put it in, and whether it fixes the problem.
