Default 3.2 Feels Underpowered

Just picked up my new A6 Avant 3.2 with S-Line. As I am coming from a previous generation S6 Avant, the new car feels underpowered. What is a discrete way to get some more power out of this engine?
Also, I order the integrated iPod interface put can't seem to find where to connect the iPod. There is no cable in the glovebox. Maybe this is a question for the dealership...
Thanks for any suggestions!

Default Let the engine break in and the transmission adapt or

drive in the sport mode.

The engine will open up

Default You lost 85 HP and 2 cylinders! It will get better after break-in.

Since the engine is NA, there are really no mods that will significantly increase HP short of a supercharger. I was gonna say you should have gone with a 4.2, but there is no avant.

I have no experience with the IPOD setup, sorry.

Yeah, going from a performance tuned V8 to a regular V6 will be noticeable.

It's all relative - but for you the 3.2 IS underpowered!

Default You bought a car without a test drive?

Why are you complaining about something which was know before you bought the car.

Here is a truism: Never go down in power and never go down in quality or you will be disappointed.

Default I went from a 05 S4 to the A6 3.2 fronttrak/CVT

Vast power difference as expected but I don't feel that it's that underpowered. Drove my friends 530 & that thing was a complete dog.

Default Not to be redundant

but at 30,000 miles the car drives like a rocket.

The 3.2 takes many miles to open up. At 5,000 it stretches a bit. At 10,000 you start to feel it flex its muscles, at 15,000 a little more and at 20 it's almost there. I feel at 30,000 it finally maxed out.

Default Your dealer should have given you the cable when you took delivery of the car.

The AMI comes from the factory, however the cable goes to the dealer.
Just ask your ABS to get it for you, and all you have to do is open the glovebox, open the left side of the AMI, and plug the cable in and VOILA!
That's it!
