Default A6 4.2 error code reads maf sensor even after it was replaced

So about a week ago I scanned my check engine light and i gave me error codes : P0171 and P0174 telling me it was most likely my MAF sensor so I replaced it and drove it around for a bit to see if the CEL would go away and it didnt. Does anybody else have a clue on what it could be?

You've stated that you've scanned your car to get those codes... What did you use to scan your car?

1. Did you try clearing the codes?

2. I highly recommend that you get a "VCDS" or also known as "VAGCOM" scan tool. It is what most of the members on here use and its solely for VW and Audi vehicles. It will give you all codes if any, as well as scan all modules and also allow you to do custom codings. Its far more superior than just a basic OBDII scanner.

3. You can try making a post asking to borrow one from a member of the forums that is close to you as well.

I'm getting both of these codes now. I use two different ODB connections one is wifi the other bluetooth. I don't think there is something wrong with the scanners. Has anyone had this issue?

Did you try clear the codes after you read them? Even if the problem is fixed, the code is usually still stored until it's cleared.
