Default A6 at the Audi dealer

Took my A6 to the Audi dealer today. The rear parktronic has stopped functioning. No longer beeps at all!!

Hopefully it's a quick fix. Got quite used to that little feature

Did you check the settings in MMI? I believe it can be turned off......

Yes, it's turned on.

I noticed last week that the sounds was getting weaker and weaker and sounding like a wet, sloppy fart

It finally packed in and died a few days again.

Default Mine died too, but was probably related to rear end repair after my mishap. Sound module on order

now for a month. The dealer has a "global" parts order out for it. None to be had "globally." Probably not a part that's kept in stock anywhere and has to be manufactured along with new-vehicle assembly parts.

P.S. If your dealer finds one right away, send me a post so I can get onto my dealer. Thanks

Ok, just got a call from the dealer and they need to order a part (not sure what part but will check with them when I talk to them later) which they expect to have in by Friday. That means another day down to the dealer and of losing work hours

Oh well, as long as it gets fixed

Default According to my service guy.....

....the part that they ordered was something to do with the parktroninc !!!!

Very technical. Sorry, but that's all he could tell me...great isn't it. Oh sorry, he did say it was a sensor to do with the parktronic.

Doesn't sound like it's the same part. They are expecting it on 2/24.

Default That's possibly the same part. My parktronic works but the associated sound module quit.

It sounds (no pun intended) as though yours might be the same problem, since you said your volume kept getting weaker over time. If I turn my radio volume completely down and shift into reverse, I can hear a faint beep. If I back toward an obstacle, the parktronic works as it should, only with almost no volume. (Full volume selected in MMI)

Default Got the car back...here's the info.

The part number that was replaced was as follows:

FP Number: 8E0-919-279
