Hi Guys,
sorry if there is already topic for this, but I didn' foud....well

how can I check what kind of sound system is on board --> next step would be to make an upgrade, but no relevant instructions found yet :-(

my darling is an A6 Facelift, the sound is very fine, so I think it is not the basic one but want more :-)... let's see

In the NA market, the C6 A6 was usually delivered with the Bose sound system. If your speakers on the front doors have a "Bose surround sound" label, then that is the system in your A6. AFAIK, upgrading the integrated sound system would be very difficult, if possible.

it is not Bose for sure.....I'm in Hungary / Europe :-)

My first C6 had the Bose system, my current one does not.

I was looking into swapping the electronics around from my old one to my newer one, so I had the Bose system, but I would have to run a lot of new wires, as it didn't look like it was prewired for the Bose system.

Too much work, the non Bose system sounds just fine. If you wanted an easier option, Id just swap the old factory speakers with newer ones. Just do a one for one swap. I'm betting it'll sound better just with newer speakers.
