A6 or Q7???
Ok I know this is crazy and its two different cars but I'm stuck.
I like both cars and can't make up my mind which one to buy. I like the Q7 because it's bigger, good for the family and it's different.
Then I like the A6. Little tight in the backseat for three kids please there are so many A6 out there.
This car is for me, not my wife.- I'm coming from a 03 745il bmw. I do not want the A8.
Sometimes I think the Q7 looks like a station wagon or mini van, but it just me??? I do like the Q7 though.
Both cars were fun to drive. The Q7 doesn't feel like an SUV.
Any thoughts?

looks too much like a minivan on nicer wheels..to clumsy LOOKS...havent driven one but sat in it. feels to me that the Q7 is the 'american version' of the A6...interior looks almost the same...but 'chubbier', beefier, more (wasted?/unstyled?) space (=what I as a German living in the U.S. consider 'typical american'. Anyway, I am sure the Q7 is a great family hauler...and with 3 kids, I'd take the Q7..if you never intend to take the kids along, get the A6 :P

I think however that I'll be going with another A6 because the gas mileage is so much better. I think the only way I'd consider the Q7 is if they brought the TDI over here to the US. A TDI A6 would be cool too.

i had a similar predicament... except i have no kids. In the end i went with a 06 4.2 A6 -- the Q7 seems way too big for me. If i had 3 kids i would still go with the A6, much more civilized and you do not fall into the typical 'American' stereotype

Love both! Different worlds, really.
The only way I could get rid of my Cayenne Turbo was by trading it in - couldn't seem to find any buyers![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
That's why I have two vehicles. The Q7 is a 4.2 and very, very comfortable to drive for long distances. Excellent quality.
Of course, the 4.2 A6 is superb, also.
Tough choice!

If you have 3 kids, the A6 Avant fits the bill and it drives faster and corners better than a Q7. I've tested both and got the Avant. Better mileage too. The cargo space is big!.
Now if you have 5 kids, I say get the Q7.
