Adaptive lights question on 2005 Audi A6

How do you know you don't have broken wires? Did you open the headlight?
In order you can check all the wires you have to open the headlight from the front, or you can easy miss some damaged wire or connection.

My passenger's side one gave up about 9 months ago probably because the housing was not properly shut and humidity got inside too often. I discovered the housing was open after the failure while trying to see what's going on inside. The headlight used to get foggy every time I washed the car or when it rains. I should have checked that out. Now it's properly shut, but too late.
The adaptive lighting function is convenient but you don't really need it. It's true that the warning on the dashboard can be annoying at first but it's easy to get used to. Changing the whole assembly just for that is just not necessary unless you have cash to spare. These things are an impressive piece of technology and they are expensive!

You only have problems if any engine is burned (AFS or regulation), and you can't find a replacement.
Just my idea
