Shoot! I have an early 05 too and I was wanting to do this!! I don't think that my parktronic is working. I don't get any tones when backing in close to objects. I was hoping this visual aid would help that. I will try to see if it works as soon as I get my VAG cable.

This was one of the first things I did with VAG COM to my car. Just so everyone is aware this only works on certain modules.

4F0 910 283 - 4 sensors, no graphical support
4F0 910 283 A - 4 sensors, no graphical support
4F0 910 283 B - 4 sensors, graphical suppor
4F0 910 283 C - 8 sensors, graphical support
4F0 910 283 D - 4 sensors, graphical support
4F0 910 283 E - 8 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support
4F0 910 283 F - 4 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support
4F0 910 283 G - 8 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support
4F0 910 283 H - 8 sensors, graphical support, rear view camera support

If your car has one of the first two modules listed above you won't be able to enable this via VAGCOM. From what I understand US/Canada cars had this option disabled even if the had one of the supported modules, in Europe this was enabled by default.

I have a 2006 A6 Avant and have the 4F0 919 283 B module in it.

Default did this today, but ran into an issue keeping the graphic on the MMI?

BTW, this is a great hack to have on any parktronic C6!

However, as soon as the screen comes on my MMI showing the A6, it disappears within 1 second. It is replaced by whatever the screen that existed upon startup.

For example if the radio is on, then I go into reverse, the MMI will flash with the outline of the C6 with the parktronic, but then go right back to teh MMI showing the radio stations.

BTW, I eneded up having the change my WSC to 00000, since the previous range was outside of that. Also, I have a 'ground to short' error on one of the sensors (rear right)...which I'm not sure what to do about.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

agreed that it's not 'supposed to' but was hoping someone might have inisght as to why it is.

Also, it may have something to do with the error related to one of the parktronic sensors. I'm hoping to test them this week to see if it's the sensor or something else...here's hoping i can get this to work...since it looks like a GREAT feature.
